Took the attached photo's during a memorial for the Battle of Arnhem (A Bridge too Far)
Verry impressive to see the old Dakota (that was flying in those days) still in action.
You see the paratroopers jumping out.

Also attach two photo's of the nowaday's Hercules carriers that threw out more then 400 paratroopers

Airborne leads the way...

When I think what those early ABN troops had to endure, compared to today. The D-Day jumps were harsh to the bone. Good images. Really like the 130 w/ 2 popped.

If you ever get to see a real combat jump (multi ship) it is something to behold. I once jumped in a 10 ship strip, all C141's. Not much room to move.

I was at thr may 5th rememberance at Arnhem last year.
There were several Dakota's there too. Really impressive. They sound awesome too.

Number 3 is a beauty with the full chutes and the Hercules. Makes you look twice. Would look great in a frame on someones wall.

Were both Herks from the RAF? I noticed the first was RAF "J" model, but the second is too far away to get a tail flash, and is an older "G" or "H" model . . .
