okay okay, one more question! :p

I've never used a white interior box before... only silver. So with the front diffusion pannel attached, I don't know the differences. I don't know if its a big difference, or subtle...

any input on this last question?

With the silver many will claim to see some more contrast and may bring out a tad more saturated colours a bit more.

I've gone with photoflex because of the versatility of using their grids. Mind you grids are not cheap like you would assume. For outdoor photos with no upclose backgrounds grids may not be so crucial. For indoors I went with a system that provides grids for all of their modifiers I own. I will not regret purchasing the photoflex line simply because of versatility.

I've gone the phototoflex route with white interiors and this is for my new home studio I just started to develop. For outdoors went with the cheetah box w/wo grid and wescott 28, softliter 46" or I may lug the kacey BD w/wo grid. The wescott box I can perhaps do a diy grid since they do not sell them. My run and gun setup is good enough for my hobbyist strobist work.

^ Thanks for the info!

I have the Cheeta Octa with Grid already, and with the prices Photoflex charges for grids (as much as the box itself), I cannot see myself shelling out that much for a hobbyist myself.

I decided to go with the flush Bowen 40x32, and if I need exacting light control indoors, I'll use my Cheetah Octa w/ Grid

Yes,I like octaboxes much more overall. The bowens is great, and it introduced me to the gem of their Quick Ring. But overall I like Cheeta's Octa's.

Right now I'm using a 36" Octa w/ Grid & 47" Octa w/ Grid.

No need for this 3rd box. The above octa's already 'cover' this size diffusion.

Would you mind posting pictures of both Octas on location and samples taken with them, if available ?

i just ordered an Qbox24 to complement my 43" umbrella , but i guess i'll add one of these 2 Octas - soon - for more coverage ,

How do they compare ? i believe your'e using them with one speedlight , is the light even with the 47" ?

I'll have to get around to that someday, but for now I have no on location set up pics to show you.

Overall I love them, especially with the grid. Here are some shots (the rest you can see on my flickr) that I did with the 36 with grid attached and a single 430EXII - plenty fill for both the 36 and 47 due to the internal diffusion layer.

I just saw this thread and I must say I like the photos you posted. I'm not a huge fan of B&W, but I really like the processing you did on these. The low contrast adds a little something that fits the subject well. Quite well done with a single Speedlite.
