Im getting my logo designed and I have received the first draft with three different options. I would love your feedback and recommendations.

Voted #2. I think 1 looks too much like a boat anchor.

Yeah, of the 3... I like #2 best, but I think it needs some more tweaking to be "there". Although, I really like the way the tie "lays" in the first one. Maybe a combo of the way the tie lays in #1, with the top of #3.

As for typography, I'm not sure I love any of the font choices... but #1 font seems best of the 3, and gives it a classy feel, which sort of contrasts well with the "lazy/relaxed" tie theme you have going.

It's a clever concept and one that will produce a great logo/brand for sure. I'd just keep refining it.

This^ x1000. A logo should first be assessed under the merits of form, function, and ability to communicate. Any glossy after effects should be limited to sprucing up the logo for certain applications, and even then only if appropriate. I'd ask your designer to resubmit proofs in one or two-color variations and in black and white. Then you'll be able to focus on the typography and interplay of forms rather than the distracting mirror effect and gradient fills.

#2 but can be improved. A logo should be readable in anything. Black and white, tiny and large, etc.

I like the latest revision the most but would lose the thin line as I can't see what it adds where it is.

My only other thought would be if you could somehow make the word photography look like it belongs with the logo a bit more. At the moment I feel it looks a little like it has been just tagged on at the bottom. It might just be the fact that it isn't centred properly but it doesn't quite look right. I think I prefer the way it had been added in #2.
