These guys were out enforcing the No Fly Zone over Libya when one of them developed serious hydraulic issues and requested an emergency landing in Malta.

After a fuel dump, his wingman followed. The damaged Mirage is still over here undergoing repairs. It had to stop on the taxiway such was the seriousness of the situation - hydraulic failure - and made a spectacular landing deploying the drag chute.

Still over here, in storage but hidden from public view. They had actually already sent an aircraft with engineers and pilots a few days after they landed and were ready to snatch them back but were denied landing clearance.

But it's weird flying them out in a combat zone with only one missile, even if the air threat is all but naturalized.
