It does take a lot of practice to get good macro shots. It is harder that it looks. You might try over in the macro section where the experts hang out. A couple of things that will help..Tripod, remote shutter and mirror lock up. These things will take the camera shake out of the equation. The closer you shoot the more camera shake makes a difference.

Another one from today's trip :) However, When I wanted to stack them in PS, it gives an error " Could not bla bla..., out of memory" How can I fix it? Or any other stacking program ? (I have tried ZereneStacker and CombineZM but these are not successful like PS)

To answer that question, we would need to know your version of PS and the amount of Ram in your computer.

Hi everyone,

I just wonder the processing of the photos in PS, especially macro. I have tried to process however, everytime I failed:mad: How can I do it? I mean, I see a lot of pics which are one shot. I know that F is about 11 or 16. Or FS pics are seen. How can they be so sharp? I asked it to Thomas Shahan and he said that they are almost same as the originals.Just adjusting curves etc. But what curves?

Anyone to help me?:(

I hope you can understand me and return :)

Have a look here

If your desktop is using a 64 bit OS (Win7 64 or Mac 64 bit) then it can utilize the full 4 gig of RAM (and more) and shouldn't have a memory problem; otherwise you will have pretty tight limitations as to how many images you can have loaded at once -- your best bet is to experiment and find your limits and stick to them.

I have win7 32 on both. What limitations? Can you explain them in a better way, I could not understand :(

you could try with smaller pictures..
or change win32 to win64 and buy additional ram...

Nick has got it right...utilize win64, CS5 64 bit, and pick up more Ram. I use 9 GB of Ram.

A 32 bit Windows can only use less than 3 GB of RAM, most of which is used by the system so only a bit goes to Photoshop. A 64 bit system has a much bigger limit (I don't recall how much) and so with 4 gig RAM you have over 2 gigs being used by PS. Of course if you update to say Win7 64 you could then add to your RAM as well.

Just be advised that if you do go to Win 7 64 it requires a new OS installation, you can't just upgrade, so that all your apps will need a new install (and some may not be compatible with the 64 bit OS).

it's even possible to have both systems installed but makes sense only if you use applications which don't run under win64 such as itunes or eos utility..
