Vegas Video . . . used to be by Sonic Foundry, but I think Sony owns it now . . . powerful, but it's expensive. gives you full control of transitions, photo positions, timing, etc. when i'm done composing the slideshow, i can render it to either an MPEG or an AVI. I've done a bunch of slideshows for people and they love them.

One of the downsides is that it eats up a lot of memory an CPU power, so you should have a diesel computer to run it.

Are you talking slide show on a dvd player as in if you burn your photos ot a cd and view them on a tv or just to view them on your pc? If you mean on the PC then just install ACDSee. It's got a built in slideslow function.

I haven't really used it yet other than a quick look, but someone recently recommended ProShow Gold by Photodex (external link) to me. It looks good, and has many outpout options (screensaver, EXE and a few CD and DVD formats).

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.
