I wanted to do an Art Deco themed shoot so I went with Iza to the Central Library in downtown Los Angeles, which is a very nice Art Deco building. We started a bit too early around 4PM and the sun was still a bit too harsh. The FlashBender that I just got and wanted to try out really diffuses the light which means that the light no longer reaches as far and I ended up using a bare flash or a sto fen diffuser much more than the flash bender. The building exterior and the dress seemed to be very similar colored which I think hurt here.

Anyway...

Great shots!

The only thing (and its a small pet-peeve of mine) that bothers me, is that you cut off her elbows in #6 and 7.

Yeah, that's what I get for trying to crop tightly with the camera and not leaving a little room.

I would try and clone the tattoo out. Doesn't really go with the art deco theme.

I hear you about the tat. Even the model wants one of her with the tat cloned out for her mother. :)

I like the tattoo. I think it gives that little something different so to speak. Nice work too!

Charge accordingly! Well done cloning out of a huge tattoo like that takes time! :)

This is just for fun and it's trading pics for time. I cloned out one so that's enough for me.
She should have brought that skin concealer.
