That's their problem if they choose to sell lower than the going rate. The two you reference--those sold quickly. Look at the sale just before and after those two--they sold for $950 and $960 respectively. Those are the prices people SHOULD be shooting for.

And the prices for the 24-105 have in fact gone up since March:

No i wouldn't. In fact when i had my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 (non VC) and first 24-105L i sold the 24-105L.
I have since brought another 24-105L and sold that.

I know many people love this lens but ive never been that impressed with it.

Decided NOT to go forward! I had a chance to play with my friend's 24-105 and I was not impressed at all. I love my 85 too much. :) Going against what I said earlier about 24-105 providing a good range, I might be replacing my 17-50 with a wide prime! :) Thank you all for your opinions.
