So I was tooling around on the web and found this pic:

There is a set up shot if you go to the web site.

I didn't do the side lights...cause I have done that before....also I was way, way to close to my background...so I need to rethink that.

Elinchrom 600 RX with speedotron BD below ugly mug. Alien Bee's ringflash on 5D with 85L.

I am thinking they had their BD gridded....mine wasn't. I am thinking that would have helped a lot....

As have I. I have a few projects I think might benefit from using one... How do you like it? Do you have a Moon Unit as well?

Back OT, it looks like you're getting close. As you stated, you might want to move forward some to provide a little more shadow on the background.

I do have the moon unit. Haven't played with it yet.

I love lighting because it is fun to play with.....
