Pretty interesting, I haven't seen this before done in a GIF style but only selective areas of animation. Assuming it's done with layers and masking in Photoshop then animating the images in Photoshop to GIF?

Def seems like it may be done in layers.

In my opinion... it looks a little creepy. Especially on the faces when it's just the eyes/hair moving but the face and/or the rest of their body is perfectly still.

haha those are freaking awesome! I gotta try this sometime. That guy sitting on the bench in the park reading the newspaper is priceless haha. Reminds me of the moving paintings in Harry Potter.

Yes it can easily be down in Photoshop. There are a couple other threads discussion the same thing that you will find really interesting if you think a moving foot is.

Thanks for that info, I'm going to try it this weekend now that I'm confident my computer won't crash doing it haha.

Thanks for this thread, and thanks tkerr for the link to that other thread. I've got a few that I took at a recent portrait shoot that I think will work well for this - the model is standing under a ceiling fan, and the feathers in her boa are rustling but otherwise she's perfectly still.
