Conditions improved slightly from when I shot those in the other post plus my gosbeaks showed up so I took a few more, this time using the 70-200 instead of the 300. It's a very nice lens but I don't think it produces quite the sharpness of the 300, at least not in my hands.

C&C always welcome

this is the only robin I have had actually come to the perches and eat seeds. Occasionally one will land briefly on their way elsewhere but this one will actually hang around for quite awhile and eat seeds and nuts

It's not often that I am impressed with a shot of a blue jay. These are great!

Beauties, Mike. Love the 'jay shot. What a character!

Also saw the first rose-breasted grosbeak pair this week. Male yesterday and the female today. Great posers and easy to get good shots of them.

Thanks Flo. Like I said, he is the only one I have ever had eat them.

Dave - mine arrived just today both at the same time.

I see RB Grosbeaks, but they never visit my feeders.

Flo, I've had Robins eat suet and seed before, but usually only in late winter/early spring before. I guess if they get hungry enough they'll eat what the other birds are eating.

Zach--C&C is welcome on my photos

Best wishes for a continuation of the sketchy weather that's producing such nice shots. <G>
