This is from working at that house. I'm allergic to evergreen trees, so working in an environment filled with sawdust is really not good for me.

oh, i did not know that kind of allergy

Yeah. I'm allergic to weird things. Breathing the stuff gives me the typical stuffed up sinus crap, but meds don't work well. Touching it gives me a rash, but that goes away after I take a shower.

Well... you have a few options...

1. El Cheapo EF-S 55-250 IS
Pros: Low price, decent IQ, super small and light
Cons: No USM, f4-5.6?

2. EF 70-200 f4 IS
Pros: Excellent IQ, USM, kinda small and light
Cons: F4

3. Sigma 70-200 f2.8 OS HSM
Pros: Great IQ, HSM, f2.8
Cons: Sigma (not really a con for me), heavier lens

4. EF 70-200 f2.8 IS II
Pros: No compromises, the best
Cons: Big price, heavier lens

The 55-250 IS is about $200-$250 USD here.
Both the 70-200 f4 and the Sigma are around $1,300 USD.
The 70-200 f2.8 IS II is around $2,500 USD new... it's a big boy

There is also the Canon 70-300L... it is suppose to have excellent IQ, but the variable aperture, weight, and $1,600 price tag kinda turns me off.

Yup but starting with the 350 Z series it was merged as a baby brother of sorts in the states.

I purposely left the infinity g series off my talk. That's a skyline by name only. We know that it's nothing like the original. It took until the GTR to have a true successor to the R34 :D

Ah ok here in NZ the 350Z isnt marketed as anything to do with the GTR/Skyline family, it was pushed as continuing the linage of the Z car family.

The V35 Skyline/Infinity G was sold here under the Skyline name (most of our cars are JDM models) and you must admit there as much a Skyline as the GTR is, people use the whole "its not a straight 6 so its not a Skyline" argument a bit online but they seem to be forgetting/not knowing that many Skyline models were not even 6 cylinder cars at all (it wasn't until the 5th gen S54 that there was even a 6 offered, but some people don't even seem to know there was a Skyline before the R31 or 32 )

bolded my recommendation and added another con to the 70-200 OS...The MFD on it is pretty eh

It is certainly better than the 75-300

I think Tamron has one thats pretty decent as well, not really sure about it myself, never tried it.

I'd get this instead:

$400 and from everything i've seen its a winner

I saw a guy compare it to the 100-400, I mocked the idea at first but the Tamron actually comes shockingly close to it...

There has always been Skylines and Skyline GT-R, but the new GT-R isn't built on the same platform as the current Skylines to my knowledge. Are the new 370Z and G37's built on the same platform?
