The only way I found out about stagea was through the original Japanese version of gran turismo on the Playstation. Sweet car! I imported that game when it released! Between that and Tokyo drift it opened up my eyes to the great Japanese tuners

I was hooked since then. Mid 90's I believe.
Lol thats how I first saw them too, winning the yellow 260RS in the wagon cup (or similar)
The 260RS models have full R34 running gear from factory, while the common RSFour have the GTR 4wd system but with an auto box and RB25DET, they technically are not Nissans though as they were built from bare shells by Autech due to Nissan not being able to use the RB26 in them per some agreement. But thanks to that they came with a fair bit more than 206kw since Autech is not a car manufacturer as such and didn't have to abide by the 206kw rule.
There pretty much the modern equivalent of the Prince Skyway
Skyline wagon (I'm not counting all the other Skyline wagons since they were all sold under the Skyline name before being dropped at the end of the R31)
