Whats bland about it steven? I would think this is one of your better shots. Keep laying off the saturation slider. Your work is coming out really good!

 I almost alway under expose all shots by half a stop or a full stop to make up for the camera over exposing when it thinks its exposed correctly.

actually Nikon doesn't have that problem...I used to remember my 500D also does that.. when you properly expose it blows the highlights.. with Nikon it seems accurate but its me that has the problem..when I look at the back screen and I find it dark I overexpose it a bit :rolleyes:

That is natural color, the way it should be. Nice shot.

Just look at the histogram! It will let you know if youve exposed correctly. The preview screen can lie to you.

I am actually confused with Histogram..so far the only thing I understand about it that I should not let it reach either side as much as possible hehe

Thats a good start to understanding it. Have you looked the the histogram in LR? When you hover over it in the develop mode it shows you exactly what would be affected if you clicked and dragged inside of it.

i know landscapers love the velvet look of water to represent it moving but i prefer a little faster shutter to show the power of a waterfall

that's all i was saying, Harm showed a waterfall a while back hanheld so the shutter was a bit faster and the water looked so much more powerful

maybe it's a distance thing as well, up close faster shutter further back more velvet water, again just my opinion but i'm more a lighting guy what do i know :p
