Er....and to quote Tvtropes...

There is a recipe from the Philippines that goes a little like this: carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, tomato sauce, and red ant eggs.

Hey guys... I should get back to reality..I was slapped in the face by it last night

if I sell the D700...I will need to come up with at least $1500 just to buy the new 5D MKIII...why not just use that and add a little more to get the 70-200mm VRII...I will be done by the end of the year for sure and then get myself a 16-35mm on Christmas :D

I should just worry about repairs later on...oh boy haha

I am not convinced

Hmm.....Nope, think I'll stick with the 10-20. Now to answer the other question: 24-105, 15-85, 17-70 (OS), or just stick with the 17-70 (non-OS) version I have. Think, think, think.......

I never used the 24-105 on my 30D -- but I dig it on my 5D!

I've always been one to prefer a wide-mid tele, so on the crop bodies I preferred something in the range of your 17-70 (I ended up upgrading an old EF-S 17-85 to the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS and loved it).

And, I also enjoyed the Ultra Wide EF-S 10-22 on that body -- it was fun getting those wide shots and sometimes enabled shots that otherwise wouldn't have been possible or at least not the same as the shots I wanted.

For longer, I used the Canon 70-300 for a long time. And I used it a lot -- chasing critters and such. I eventually bought better glass, but I did need the range and the lens provided it.
