A good quality repellent is the best! I go to the states and buy some stuff with really high DEET content to use when I'm going to be in an invested area. Like playing paintball and trail riding. Use just a tiny little bit of it and your safe. Works for ticks too, which are a problem here. Actually found one stuck to my back last year, that was not a good feeling. I also keep some of the regular bug spray around for normal use and when I'm around kids. Canada restricts the DEET content to a max of 30%. I had a friend who was very allergic to mosquito bites -- we had to take him to the hospital once from a pretty distant woodsy location when he got bit... Tony

When i came out i was swamped by mosquito's. The repellent was in the car which was a good walk away. Lets just say i ended up with over 100 visible bites -Omar- Flickr
