I know a few people like that. Any bites they get swell up big time. A good quality repellent is the best! I go to the states and buy some stuff with really high DEET content to use when I'm going to be in an invested area. Like playing paintball and trail riding. Use just a tiny little bit of it and your safe. Works for ticks too, which are a problem here. Actually found one stuck to my back last year, that was not a good feeling. I also keep some of the regular bug spray around for normal use and when I'm around kids. Canada restricts the DEET content to a max of 30%.

I had a friend who was very allergic to mosquito bites -- we had to take him to the hospital once from a pretty distant woodsy location when he got bit...

Yup so you know how that is. I use it frequently when im outside of the city. When i was in mexico we jumped into a cave to snorkel. When i came out i was swamped by mosquito's. The repellent was in the car which was a good walk away. Lets just say i ended up with over 100 visible bites :(

Quite often a problem can be solved by the simplest of solutions. ;)

If you're refering to the Title Fairy, well it all depends on what you do and say (sometimes not at all). If the TF thinks you are trying to be noticed, then its unlikely. Simply put, one never truely knows when the TF may strike. ;)

The more you ask, the less likely it is to happen.
