I can't believe it was a year ago now, but in 2010 I travelled to Turkey to attend the ANZAC Day commemorative service at Gallipoli. For those who don't know, ANZAC Day (25th April) is the day of commemoration for Australians and New Zealanders for those who lost their lives in wars. In 1915 Allied forces landed on the same shores that are shown in the photos below. Today this part of Gallipoli Peninsula is a national park and is the final resting place for the many soldiers who died on both sides of the conflict.
