We have a thread for photos using off camera flashes and lighting, so one for on camera flashes is in order. Any and all people photos are fine so long as they adhere to the title.

I've noticed I've nurfed a good many shots by not using fill flash or similar techniques to reclaim shadows around eyes and the like, and I don't have access to much more than a single flash I can buy and stick on the camera with my current budget. Therefore it would be nice to see some great portraiture examples of on camera flash use and decide what is good to get.

Note this does not mean the inbuilt flash of several models.

My 500px. (external link) I like action (external link) and volcanoes. (external link) Dragons (external link) and temples (external link) are fine, too!
I don't think the Earth revolves around me. It revolves around the Sun, which shines out of my ass.

Oh dear, most of those are nowhere near as inspiring as the off camera flashed images.

I found the ones shot with a softbox or through an umbrella particularly attractive, but that seems impossible for impromptu photos.

Yes, that's why almost everybody says we should go for off-camera flash. :)
But as impromptu photos, we may not have the luxury of time and helpers for setting up off-camera flash.

I'll post one up. This was a Mardi Gras party in a hotel lobby. Flash was bounced off a stucco wall camera right.
