More shots from last Sunday's game. Have three this weekend, Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Going to a very busy sports weekend with soccer and baseball games. Lots of photos.

All shot with the 1d Classic, Sigma 100-300 f4, iso 400. Various SS's depending on light.

Numbers 2 and 5 are my favorites, they are great action shots. Great composition!

Nice shots!

What are your thoughts on adjusting the SS to adjust for lighting? Wouldn't you want to adjust aperture and keep your SS high? Is it so you keep consistent bokeh?

I want to have my SS as high as possible when shooting so that I can stop the action on the field. I'll adjust that to get what I think will be a proper exposure. Shooting manually allows me the option to do this.

I'll also adjust iso to keep my SS speeds high.

It will also depend on where the light is coming from, if it is behind the players, I need to expose for the faces or if there is a reflection coming into the players face blow it out.

I keep the 100-300 set at f4 most of the time.

Very nice shots, but wayyyyy over sharpened.
They don't need that much sharpening and you got some mean halos/aliasing.
