Now that photography has moved on far enough for the warm, scratchy, old-fashioned, low-fidelity picture to have come back into fashion, I'm seeing lots of post-processing filters, presets, and apps coming onto the scene, not only for the iPhone and Android phones but also for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

One such is Wingnut's Lo-Fi (external link) app. At $29 it has enough variety to be worth the price, in my opinion. It isn't something I'd want to overuse but when I feel that a particular picture cries out for special treatment that would otherwise take too long to apply, I can turn to Lo-Fi. In case this is starting to sound like an advert, I should say that I have no connection with the company other than being a satisfied customer.

Has anyone else used this app? Do you know of other apps that you might recommend? What are people's feelings about this kind of post-processing? Would you use it rather than slaving for hours over Photoshop? If you have used it, let's see some photos.
