I very much doubt that. The lighting looks very good and you can't fake that with "totally rad actions". Looks like basic good technique and simply tuned Raw conversion and a little careful post-processing. Capture the best Raw pixels you can and damage them as little as possible in the cooking. Canon System: fullframe DSLRs, lenses. Tripods, Alien Bees.

His work looks like he really knows what he is doing and shooting jpg can be quite a time saver. There is nothing here (except maybe them from the back going down the aisle) that RAW would greatly assist you in. There is some skin softening/smoothing being done but there are lots of actions available for that and this is easily done in Photoshop if one wants to. My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
