I have several pelican cases that I use for my electronics (GPS/sounder, VHS, phone, camcorder, etc...), but I use them mostly when kayaking, diving, camping or fishing. In those circumstances I like bright colors, I even add reflective stickers, so they can easily be seen in the dark if lighted with a flashlight. However, for urban use I like the black, as they are not as attention grabbing.....

Black on the outside for sure. I do wish the inside was yellow. Much easier to see stuff.

One vote for OD green. Its not conspicious and it stays clean without trying.

Personally i would go the Tan.
Yellow stands out too much, Black gets too hot in the sun, Tan with a big Reflective stripe around it would be perfect, easy to find in the dark, but doesnt scream "look at me, steal me"

I have one Pelican case I use for off roading and expeditions, its OD Green. I chose that color because it matches the rest of my overlanding gear and is pretty discrete in my truck.

For every day, I would choose black.

The ideal colour is obviously 18% grey for that instant grey card. But I don't believe the grey is the right grey. Pelican is a bit hazy about it.

My old metal Canon FD lens box I painted 18% grey and it worked pretty well.

So after that. All my Pelis are black (I've rather lost count of how many) except the 1010 Micro which is bright yellow.

Think resale in which case Black will be easier to resell when the time comes.

I've pulled the trigger on a 'desert tan'....cooler then a black one (its a large surface in the sun...) and less conspicuous the yellow....

+1.

I chose the Black 1510 because...well, because it's black, fits in an overhead compartment, and holds most of the gear I use on a daily basis.
