dont usually do selective color, but...

I thought it worked pretty well here.

let me know what you guys think

i dropped my 50mm 1.5 last week, so im stuck with a 28-105 3.5-4.5 for now, so keep that in mind when talking image quality haha

I agree - normally not a fan but I rather like it - my only suggestion would be to crop the bottom flowers or not colour them.
I like the angle also...interesting.

ya i did crop them off and didnt really like it like that. i wish i had paid attention to the fact that i was cutting them off when i took it. maybe il go back and get another shot sometime. but thanks for the feedback!

Selective color?! Nooooooooooooooo!

Sorry. I'm having a Buzz Lightyear moment.

Back to the image...

If you cropped the whole left half and part of the fence on the right and the half-chopped-off cluster on the bottom, there would be no need for gimmicks. And you wouldn't have to worry that the shot is not level.

Selective color becomes a temptation when the framing and composition fall short in defining the subject. It's better to frame and compose effectively from the get go.

Same here. Not normally a fan, but it can be done successfully occasionally. To retain effectiveness, it must be done sparingly. This is one of those times. Nice done, OP.
