ISO too high and underexposed. Besides that the shot is great!

I am not sure how to go about adjusting the WB in this photo, because of the other issues when I adjust it in Camera Raw it blows up everything thing else.

Are you using lightroom or photoshop? In lightroom I would adjust the color balance with eye dropper tool. If you turn on image editing OK I would be happy to try and adjust it and tell you the steps.

Bulldog Blue,

I have to say after pulling it into Lightroom and photoshop I decided that your color balance was not bad I am not sure where in your processing you got the pink color cast in your photos but I noticed it in both of your photos so I think it is something you are introducing in post or a bad camera setting.

I decided the best thing to do was to just add a mask to the teeth and eyes and then adjust them with an adjustment brush as you can see from the attached image. If I correct for the pink in the eyes and the teeth then the rest of the picture turned very green. So the adjustment brush made the most sense. I had to add a color to the adjustment to compensate for the pink in this case the opposite of red which is a form of green to remove the color cast. While I had the photo I also thought I would suggest a different crop that puts the main subject off center a little and gets rid of distracting background elements on the left (some black bars) and then I removed the red curtains on the right as they clashed with the pink in my opinion. Lastly I softened the shadow from the fireplace on the wall to lessen the distraction.

I think all told it was about 10 minutes time but most of that was exploring the color balance issue.

I will not be offended if you do not like the redo all things are a matter of personal taste when in these decisions.

I think it looks great. I will have to explore and see if I can find the culprit.

You might want to check what you focused on...the dog looks sharper than your subject. You might have a DOF issue as well. Not sure why you used ISO 1600. Looks like you had flash off camera left. Can you describe your setup...that may shed more light (no pun intended) on the subject.

Tried to find out where you focused using Canon's ZoomBrowser Software but I guess your metadata was stripped off. I'd give it a try on the original shot. Good luck!
