Good evening/morning/afternoon POTN!

Hope you guys can help me out. Can you guys post some pics with all or some of the following criteria below? That's what im trying to use this G12 for. I'm also looking at a 270ex so sample pics with it attached and use in a bounced setup is highly appreciated.

indoor/outdoor/good light/low light
flash/no /flash
family/gathering/party/reception

Im having a hard looking searching for these. I just want to see the IQ before I decide. Thanks in advance for helping me out guys and gals.

Have you read the dpreview.com (external link) review of the G12 along with their test images?

I suggest looking at the pictures submitted in our speed challenge competitions. The models used are stated and if you look back over the weeks you will find sample pictures covering the criteria you are looking for.

I would check through the Best of G 12 thread as well as G 11 thread. I have had both and find no difference in the IQ. As far as flash goes, external flash is always going to be better than on board. THe 270 is not that powerful though. For 100 buck more you can get the 430 ex used on this site. It is more powerful and has a swivel head for bouncing. Here is a thread about flashes

I also use this link;

http://fiveprime.org/flickr_hvmnd.cgi (external link)

Then you can type in the camera and situation you want examples of. For example, type "g12,indoor" in the Search box (without the " " marks). When it displays the search results, click the Recent button to see what folks are doing now with the G12 in that situation. Or, you could leave it at the default Interesting setting, if enough examples show.
