What do you do if you move your photos from one website to another?

- do you leave the old up for a while and then at some point in time close it and leave dead links all over the net
- do you go back and edit links to the new whereever you can

?

I am currently testing LR 3.4 and SmugMug and I really like that I can publish photos to SmugMug directly from LR so am considering to move all my photos from my current site which use Pekka's Exhibit Engine. Editing links where I can will take a lot of time so would prefer a more automated way of converting the old links to the new so both click links and imbedded photos still work. Anybody have any good ideas for that ?

Now if anybody could wip up a LR plugin to publish directly to Exhibit Engine then I would choose that route :D

I'll be switching from Zenfolio to SmugMug but that's when it runs out. Will I leave dead links? Yeah...I've posted too many photos here to go and back and change them. Just mean I need to post new ones! :D
