I broke the plate on this cord that slips into my flash bracket today. I'm wondering if I can get another plate - it looks like it attaches to the other side (where the flash sits) with 4 small screws?

Two of the four screw threads shattered after I bumped the mounted 580 with my elbow. Solution - superglue in the sockets and around the periphery of the entire assembly. I'll never open it again - but why would I want to? It's stronger than before and works perfectly. It's the only piece of Canon kit I've managed to break; it does seem to have a pattern of breakages from what I read . . . ~ Wallace
