I have lots of work to do, not with editing but learning/improving in general! I cannot seem to keep my balance/hand steady.

TRIPOD = easy fix to your balance/hand steady problem

Where is the focus point on this photo? The strawberry is blurry. Looks like the focus is on the ground just beneath the strawberry. I think this is a great idea, so if you decide to do it again, make sure the focus is on the strawberry and not the ground. When you look through the viewfinder on your T1 make sure the red box (focus reticle) is on the strawberry

Where is the focus point on this photo?

the sad thing was that the focus i used was the center focus and centered it right in the middle of the strawberry. I try to used the focus lock then recompose the shot to play with composition, unfortunately it came out the way it did... so frustrating!

perhaps try a slightly higher f/stop. 2.8 might be too low to get the depth of field you want

Don't get me wrong, I do think this is a good photo. I've reshot a few of mine to get them to turn out more the way I want. I'm sure your next one will be perfect!
