I recently moved to Munich and brought along a whole lot of gear. I was wondering if I would need to buy a transformer for each light seeing as the voltage is different? Another solution, might be to buy a 120volt mini vagabond to plug in my lights and then a transformer to plug the vagabond into the wall (when it needs to be charged). Any of you been through this situation?

Cheers,
Dan

I think your best bet is to get in touch with PCB customer service. They'll be the best to answer this question.

I'm more inclined to say that the power a EU VML will give you trouble with your lights, because of the power difference.

Yes I have Alien Bees also living here in Brasil. I bought them in the USA and brought them down with me. The Power here is also 220. I did just what you suggested and got a Vagabond II and just use that as the Vagabond is bi-volt so no problem. I also have a couple of transformers around the house that I used before that with no problem but really like the Vagabond now that I have it.

Dan, as Scott mentioned it shouldn't be a problem, but you're probably better off asking PCB CS.

Are you staying in Munich for a longer period of time? Might be worth selling and getting 230V or bi-voltage lights.

Get the 120V VML. The charger is bi-voltage so you can plug it into the German power.
With the VML plugged into the wall and the lights plugged into the VML it will act as a voltage converter while keeping the battery charged.
