Red-Tailed Hawk in Colorado. Hopefully I'll have a 100-400mm or 400mm 5.6 for brid shots soon.

When you can get shots like that with your 55-250, you don't need a 100-400 or any other lens! Nicely done! :)

The 100-400 or 400 5.6 will be for birding but mostly for wildlife.
TGrundvig, I’m in Thornton (north of Denver).

Shot this Great Horned Owl a few weeks back, it was a little ways out from me and it was dust (that’s why it’s graining).
I feel like I need a little longer lens for these shots, that’s what I tell my wife anyway. I also have a lot of nice parks to use an 400mm focal length at.
