Any feedback? Photos? Searched but didn't really see an 'official' owners thread for it. Planning to order one soon as a tiny little lightweight/secondary body to my other stuff, and something that my wife could use a lot more easily. Plus I don't always feel like carrying my bigger stuff around, especially for just casual photography. I miss having a 'micro' DSLR body and just a simple 18-55 kit lens believe it or not. A nice option to have.

So lets see some T3 / 1100D feedback and photos!

I'm pretty sure this is an owners thread... search function really does work when used correctly.

OP is looking for T3/1100D thread. The thread you pointed to is T3i/600D.

Yes, T3, not the T3i. :) Very confusing on Canon's part. Wonder why they don't just stick with the xx0D numbering for the U.S.?

Nobody has this camera? Is everybody going for lightly used or refurb T2i's instead?

Why not, I got my T2i through CLP for less then the T3. The T2i is a more advanced camera in almost every way.

I bought the T3, just started playing with it today.

Why? Well.... for a photobooth setup (the entire reason I could get away with buying one), the T3 was the best bang for the buck - I couldn't find a single reason to spend more to get a T2i.

Here are the first few snapshots out of it, mostly to play with features on the camera, while bored in Bryant Park for lunch (which is under construction and missing some of the fun things that spring brings)

Aside from a bit of cropping and WB, this is straight out of the camera.

Yay! Somebody who finally has one of these. Looks nice, jmg! :)

Yeah I don't need anything fancy for this type of camera either, just a basic bare bones lightweight setup that's cheap. The T2i does indeed look pretty nice but there isn't any gotta-have-it feature for me in there that I don't already have in my 5D2. Just need something small and lightweight that takes pictures. ;)

Had everything I wanted, and since I wasn't trading anything in, it was the better price by quite a hefty chunk - now I just need more time to mess around! Well, that and to not be lazy about getting up and getting closer to things to take a picture (I had just finished eating, so I felt like staying in my seat while firing off a few shots :D ).

As far as I can tell, it takes pretty decent pictures, so I can't complain :D

EDIT: And thanks! :)
