Ugly ducklings - far from it.

These cygnets were born last thursday & these were taken at 2 days old.
Originally there were 8, but the crows have killed 2 so far - I hope the rest stay safe, they really are adorable little bundles of fluff at the moment.

Thanks Crimzon - since they're only about a 5 minute walk away from my house, I'm hoping to get some regular updates with these - would be nice to keep a "log" of them growing up.

Ohhh! I hope the crows leave them alone! They are SO adorable. I'm looking forward to watching them grow up, so keep posting!

What cuties, not much else can hold a candle to these guys in the cute department. Hopefully these will make it and the crows will leave them alone. Great shots

Again, thanks for the nice replies.
An update then - These were taken this morning (miserable skies, so apologies for the quality), all 6 have now grown big enough in their first week to survive the crows, who will now leave them alone & go find some other small fry, so they should be safe.
