Not knowing much about herons (or at least I think it is), can you tell me which type it is?

Great Blue Heron. They're wide spread-look at Crimzon's post of a day or two ago and throughout this section. Nice BIF shot.

If this was taken near your home location this would be a Grey Heron, nice flight shot.
