Hi all. My wife just informed me that her coworker would like me to take photo's at her upcoming outdoor wedding. They are not going to have a professional photographer, but are having several people just take photo's with out going too much out of their way. I am comfortable with my skills, but don't want to be lugging a bunch of gear around.
My question is should I take 2 bodies and several lenses (flash of course for fill light) or stick with just one body and a couple of lenses? I am really trying to keep it low key and out of the following lenses (Tamron 17-50, Canon 17-85, 28-135, 50 1.8, Tamron 70-300 VC, Sig 10-20, Sig 18-200 OS) what do you think be my best bet to use?
They want me to enjoy the wedding and not worry too much about photo's (although I probably will!)
I would love to hear some suggestions. Thank's in advance for anything that you care to contribute.

If you want to keep it low key, bring low key gear. If you want to do the best job possible, bring all of your gear.

What time is the wedding? Although outdoor weddings are not very gear intensive during the day, at night they are probably the most difficult. Nothing to bounce flash off of and no light in the bg is usually a cause for a difficult time.

If its an outdoor reception, you have to decide how much you really want to shoot this. I have one in a few weeks and just bought a few more flashes to use for OCF. By that time, ill have 4-5 flashes and enough triggers to use, and feel that is a good number to be able to fill in the light. If you want to give snaps, on camera direct flash will suffice.

If you want to keep it low key, I'd bring the 50, 17-85 a flash and a bounce card.

A wide angle and a telephoto, plus a flash would probably get you by.

Looks like during the ceremony I will be about 50 to 60 ft from the Bride and Groom. They will be in the open with their backs to the creek and the canyon. Good thing is the sun will be behind me. The grounds are really spacious with natural trees, lanscaping, meandering paths extra., some beautiful wide open scenery. Wondering if I should have the telephoto, wide, and uwa?
