Hello everyone I have about 11 weddings under my belt and feel like I am really starting to get a great grip on it. We are doing our first engagement shoot in 2 weeks, any tips you would have for us?

(us being my wife and I)

Don't make the mistake of ONLY taking portrait type shots, where the two are posed and looking at the camera. E-sessions, to my mind anyway, are meant to capture the essence of their relationship as a couple, so be sure to shot a variety of shots where they are interacting with each other, as if you aren't even there....

Philco did a great thread here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=476788

Sue also made some great points.

One thing I always try to do is get a headshot of each of them. These can be used for anything, and I actually use one that a photographer (Philco actually) did when he did some photos of my girlfriend and me.

E-shoots are just about having fun and getting to know the couple.

I have to say I am really excited to get out there and have fun with them. No mothers or family members wanting to pop in shots, no uncle joe with his 18-55 and a pop up flash, its going to be great!
