Playing around with my SX230 yesterday, trying to shoot some bees on a holly tree in the front yard. Not award winning stills or video, but gives you an idea of what this camera can do. Hand held; max zoom from about 6-7 feet (lots of bees - I wasn't getting any closer). The video is boring - the nature of slow mo I suppose, and I am too lazy to edit the video - but the spots with bees in flight are pretty cool imo. If you watch it please note that nothing happens after the bee turns and exits to the left.

I'd never post these stills as examples of good or even fair macro shots, but I think it gives an idea of what the SX230 can do. Full zoom, hand held, heavily cropped.
