Looks great to me. Something seems weird about the first one, though. It seems kind of, well, not quite noisy, or pixelated. I'm not sure how to described it. Almost canvas-like.

#7 seems like a weird spot to crop her legs.

Tough to pick a favorite, but I'll go with #4 or #6.

I especially like the contrast of the bright orange sweatshirt and the muted background in the series.

Edit: After further review, #6 is my favorite.

First one looks to be slightly oversharpened, but still very nice.

You have something good going on here! And I agree, a good wardrobe choice.

Yes, I couldn't quite place it, but I think you're right.

definitely good stuff. lovely young lady as well. On my monitor the images look a tad oversaturated, but that comment is also a matter of taste as well.

What gear did you use? All natural light?

I was worried about them being oversaturated. My monitor isn't calibrated yet... :(

Yep, all natural light. I shot all these with my XSi and my 85 1.8, I love this lens! I had my nifty but it had some focus issues?!

I love these shots. (a) Joy is really photogenic, and cute to boot (b) you nailed every image.. Great scenes, poses, and sharp focus on her eyes. Great job! :)

These look kinda over saturated to me and on 3 5 6 and 7 they look like you added too much softening to her face but this could be the over saturated thing too. Good first attempt. All looks good but the PP needs work IMO.

Thanks. I'm still really new to PP. I've had PhotoshopCS5 for 3 weeks and there is SOOOO much to learn. I'm reading everything I can get my hands on. Joy has a older sister and she wants some shots taken and they want some taken together so I'll have another opportunity to work on some PP!

agree with comments above...most all of them. She is a beautiful young lady! Eyes are fantastic....and could use some lightening up....true, the orange, on my UN calibrated lcd, looks over saturated.
Well done overall!
ohh...great smile!
