Been quite a while since I posted some work.

Full set here (external link)

Lighting was pretty crappy. Used 17-35L, Sigma 50/1.4 and 80-200L (sometimes with 1.4TC) most of the time.

Thanks.

Any particular reason for those 3?

Moment and light are nice in no. 6. There is nice expression in no1, and specially no2 since they seem to interact . I'm not an expert, but overall looks fine to me. Much more prefer wider shots. You use 1DMKIII? How do you compare it to 7D or even 50D. I have opportunity to buy it but as you can see i have to change almost all the lenses (even 17-55 doesn't work) and spend a lot of money which is big problem because i have very little income from photography.

Nice set Rene, great timing and lighting on all. I'm very impressed by the preserved skin tones even though there's some pretty strong red and blue lights going on in these- did you have to do recovery in post?

I like the light just hitting his eye in #1.
Capturing the interaction and a good expression was challenging, as can be seen in the gaps in the file numbers in that sequence ;)
(And the amount of shots on my site: Too many I couldn't choose between, since none of them were 100% "good".

Yeah, just bought a used 17-35L, which helps at the wide end. Before that I used a 20-35, which really wasn't wide enough, and sometimes misfocussed.
I trust this lens better, so I use it more :)

I use a 1D3. Before that I used a 1D2 and a 1D. Before that a 10D.
So I have no experience whatsoever with a 7D or 50D.
I prefer the user interface of the 1D series, but the 7D and 50D seem to perform quite okay from what I've seen...
If you were to get a 1D, and want to retain the same FoV you have now, you'd need to get a 100mm macro, 50/1.4 and something in the 20-70 range. (24-70 + 16-35)
Quite an investment indeed. And not sure if that's worth it.

Hmm. Weird. Somehow that part of the exif got stripped on export.
Full exif (including LR settings) however is in the images on my flickr stream (external link).
You can use this exif viewer to view it: http://regex.info/exif.cgi (external link)

Yes, quite some work was done on some. Nearly nothing on some others ;)

it is quite investment and i hardly doubt it's worth it. Maybe in some time. I think it's better to go to some concerts :)

yeah René, 5 is great, best of this set. just managed to keep all her fingers in the frame. 3, 4 and 6 are my other picks, for composition/moment reasons.
