Hello folks! Another point & shooter here that wants to join the fun of learning about photography.

You folks have some awesome photographs and websites to your credit! I look forward to learning from you. I'll try not to be too much of a noob. FNG's! More equipment then sense. Whatcha gonna do with em? :rolleyes:

Hiya StarJack! Your collection of stuff looks pretty darn good for a "point and shooter." With what you've got, I'd suggest you start by learning about RAW. Your Canon came with good RAW software, or you could use Raw Shooter (free download), or Photoshop's RAW converter/editor. As far as the camera and exposure/technique are concerned, I've learned more by taking a lot of pictures, especially in Manual Mode, than from any other source. Have fun!!
