Hi,
I was wondering if any owners of the three cameras in the title (5D Classic, 40D and 50D) could help me out.
I need to upgrade from my 300D & 450D kit and I will be shooting a lot of tethered studio work of dancers, with the choreographer behind the screen giving directions to the dancer (like 'stretch those toes') or to me (like 'wait a second longer to allow her to extend properly')...
Preferably I'd want a 1Ds mkii/iii for this - but that's out of my budget, so the options are the three listed.
Now to the question:
The new EOS Utility (v2.10) allows a checkbox that says "only send JPEG, when in shooting in RAW+JPEG'.

Now, the old 5D took ages between shutter press and preview on laptop screen when shooting in RAW - but, can this new EOS Utility feature speed things up?
Say, if you're shooting a RAW + Medium Jpeg, can anyone actually TEST and time the delay between shutter preview with this new version of the software?
Preferably I'd like replies regarding all three cameras.
Thank you!
