Seems to me I remember threads in the past made up of complaints. Well here's another.
Yesterday's shoot was important enough that I decided to bracket my shots. I usually don't, depending on my ability to meter properly and the latitude of Raw, but yesterday's stuff will be printed 20 by 30 inches so I wanted to maximize my chances of keeping noise down. The problem - every time I changed lenses the bracket was cancelled. What a pain in the butt! This was with a 350/XT. Do other models do the same?
Canon, this is really stupid. I imagine there are many people who bracket all the time. I probably would if I shot Jpg. They have to repeatedly reset it?

My best guess off the top of my head is that since the XT is commonly referred to as a "beginner's" dslr, that they're figuring that when a beginner switches lenses, they'll forget that they had the bracket set. They accounted for that. I don't have my 20D's yet, or I'd tell you if they did it too.

Is there not a custom function on the 350D to get around this.... ??

The 10D has a custom function where you can set it to stay in bracket mode even if you shut the camera off, change lenses, etc.... It's C,Fn-09 on the 10D.. It works for both exposure and white balance bracketing... The 350D may not have it, I can't believe the 20D is missing this feature..

20D - page 143 - C.Fn-09 - 3: -,0,+/Disable(Auto cancel works only if the flash is ready)...Can you tell me what that means?

Trial and error. If C.Fn-09 is set to the above settings the AEB is maintained after power off or lens removal unless the flash is readied....

Did you just get mysteriously transported over into the Canon EOS section from the Photo Sharing section?

Does the 350D have a C.Fn09 to disable this?

, the problems of browsing with multiple windows. :p

Would be silly if this can't be a Custom Function, of allowing it to remain, if one of those are changed.

I've had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago where a reply I made in one thread appeared in another. Some sort of weird gremlin that crops up once in awhile ...

In 350D C.Fn-9 deals with Shutter curtain sync. Near as I can tell, it has no function to disable the reset of bracketing.
