Hi,

NEQ5 Pro GOTO alignment issues.

The system works, as I've managed to do it once. Most of the time however, when slewing towards the second alignment star the mount goes completely crazy, it points nowhere near the star and most often to the ground for some hidden southern star below the horizon.

Scope is level, the data I give it is correct (date, time, daylight saving, coordinates - everything).

I suspect it's the choice of stars, as I've read certain rules must be obeyed when choosing stars for alignment. Now the manual of the mount tells me the system automatically creates a list of suitable stars but I'd prefer to have your thoughts on it.

Would anyone have a couple of sets of suitable 3 stars? I'm in the northern hemisphere, 46N06E.

Thank you
