the L358 allows you to trigger your PW remotely. but you can just use a wireless remote like the Canon RC-6 to trigger the camera shutter (which in turn would trigger the flashes).

I don't see a huge need for the wireless option the L358 offers. especially given the hassle involved in plugging them into the PW Utility to change them over to standard channel. I'd rather just keep them in TL mode and trigger my shutter wirelessly...

Well I figured I'd chime in with my final decision - I went with the L-308S.

Its small size and AA battery won me over, along with the fact that I wont be using the L358's "extras" which are additional funds too...

I usually go for 'the best', but here I see the L308S is just perfect for my needs.

You'll certainly find that getting your setup going comes much quicker and also getting consistent results throughout the shoot. Have fun with it and let us know how you like it.
