Some nice pics so far. Keep um coming.

Here are two pictures from the airport at sunrise. I hate getting up early for work, but once in a while I get rewarded with some good photo ops.

I posted this pic on these forums back in May. Maybe you remember. It's a US Airways Express CRJ in front and a Dash 8 taking off. The photo was taken in Burlington, Vermont.

This shot may not look so great at first, but when you look real close you can see a little black spot on the sun. The black spot is the planet venus. Once every 70 years or so venus goes directly between the earth and the sun. I happened to be lucky enough to have a foggy morning when the venus transit occurred and I was able to make this photograph without any filters. I think our passengers where a bit concerned seeing their captain running around the ramp with a Sigmna 70-200 and 2x teleconverter during the boarding process.

Thanks Doutchie...I took that picture a few minutes before I proposed to my wife, so it will always be one of my favorites.

Wow Shakin... great story behind the pic. I always find that if there is a story behind a photograph, it is worth sooooo muuuuuch more. :)

Now, here are a couple from this morning (no story though  )

Thought I'd revive the thread with a shot from last month.

I really liked the look of the sunrise, with the one "God ray" shooting up like a spotlight. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a stable position, so I ended up with a blurred shot.

Luckily, I recalled a post talking about using the watercolor effect in PS for blurred shots to try and save the pic....so here it is...

Some of those pictures above are fantastic. This was my first (and only so far) planned sunrise shot and the second I've done any layer work with (to bring out the forground and the mountains). I took it in Killarney right before my batteries ran flat.

There are some awesome shots in here!

Here's a couple I managed to get this morning on my way to a seminar in St Austell, Cornwall.
