7D shutter problem

Hi,
I have been using my 7D for almost 9 months now,then just yesterday
the shutter won't fire but when i turn it off then on it fires by itself.I bought it from a canon reseller so still has a Shop warranty.Anyone got the same problem?How it was solved.

Have you tried resetting the camera to the default settings just to check to make sure you didn't change something to make it behave this way? I would try that and go from there. Maybe even update or reload the firmware if that doesn't help.

I had the same problem in a Birthday party last night. I have a Brand New Canon 600D, I used it for about a month. Everything was working fine until last night when I tried to take pictures and on some occassions, Shutter button didn't work. It was so embarrasing for me as everyone was ready for photo and i was standing like a stupid person there trying to take the picture from my new camera. the only thing is, This camera was purchased from Hong Kong and I live in London therefore, Canon UK warranty can not be applied on this one, as Canon only offer warranty to the products that are purchased from UK. Any suggestions??
