Seen a few versions of this shot, the best was a Great Dane from a few months ago. Here's my take with my pooch -- went for a more moody image. Indoors, lamp light, and just recently processed in LR3. Great noise reduction. Very pleased with the sharpness at 1/60 and f1.8. I applied a mild crop and darkened the blacks a touch.

1. "Got My Eye on You" -- Nifty Fifty @ f1.8 for 1/60s. ISO 3200 on T1i.

Nice focus on the eye! Seems a little underexposed. To me though, this was the best version.
