Great choice for LP. Sunburst is my favorite. Remind him he can get a custom nut plate ("traditional") etched with your name on it. That's the way I would do it if I was lucky enough to have a wife who bought me a LP.

Might have to think about that for our anniversary coming up this june! Hard to think of stuff after 13 years

Tobacco Burst?

tobacco burst has black edges near the body binding. Black, then red, then amber toward middle of body. Had one of those, too!

Maybe the OP should ask her husband so we don't go crazy trying to GUESS at the finish name!!!

Thanks and yeah, we must have posted at nearly the same time! Any way you slice it, your guy has a beautiful guitar!

Since all my playing is on stage, I play Fender Custom Shop Relic guitars, (ask your husband!) that are already beat up. This way, when I slam the headstock into something it's just one more 'ding' in the guitar's finish!
