610 or 610 Super?

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I don't know. It might have more power, or be more feature rich, or something.

Why do you want to trade? Is it just because your friend wants to trade? Why does he want to trade? Are you not happy with your 430 EX II? Is he not happy with his sigma 610?

Because it might help him out, and because if given the choice between a product and a superior product, I'd pick the superior product, and he wants to trade because he likes to have everything come from the same manufcaturer.

Super!

I'd make that trade in an instant.

Then haven't you answered your own question? :)

Yes, it is much better than a 430EX II. The 630 Super is roughly equivalent to a 580EX II and can support master/slave by IR, and can be used with Canon's ST-E2. I still have my EF-500 DG Super and use it with two 580EX IIs and my ST-E2.

Okay! Cool! That said, should I sell my 430EX and upgrade for to a new EF-610 DG Super Flash by throwing in an extra $5? Would it work with my off-camera flash ettl sync cord?

If the 610 is for canon then it will work with a Canon compatible off camera cord.
