I'm a huge fan of b&w, but I find that pink or most shades of red turn "muddy" in the process, so if that color is a huge part of the photo, I tend to prefer color. And so it is with this one, the pink is too bright and bland in the b&w, to be such a huge portion of the image. It is actually pretty in the color version, tones nicely with the green background, and you've got the eye color showing nicely, so I'd personally go with the color. I really like this photo, nice expression, and it isn't easy to get nice images of kids this age!

Also, 8X10 might be a good crop for this, it will remove a larger portion of the shirt, as long as you don't lose too much of the "slightly to the left" composition that you currrently have now. Somehow, I think it might balance her head a bit better in the print.

is that skin softening on the baby? don't babies already have smooth skin? can you post an untouched version of the skin


No I'm not a photographer, I just shoot with Canon DSLR with those lenses with red thingy...;)
