Stupid Strap Question

You guys are going to think I'm dumber than dirt, but is there a diagram somewhere of how to properly attach a neck strap to the camera? Every time I do it it seems wrong somehow..maybe I'm doing it right but I want to make sure.

Did you check the owners manual?

Not sure about your camera but in the 7D manual it is on the very first page of chapter 1.

No, I figured Canon would think it's too obvious, unfortunately the only manual I can find right now is my french one so hopefully it's in the english PDF

Yeah but I can't read french and diagrams confuse me. Remember you're talking to a guy who's having trouble putting a strap on a camera.

Might want to check out a Black Rapid R-Strap or something similar. They are easier to attach and more comfortable as well.
